SUMMARY:Cybersecurity: Effective Tools for Nonprofit Organizations
DESCRIPTION:This in-person session is being hosted by Nonprofits LEAD \nJanuary 14th\, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM \nRegistration Fees: $35/person \nREGISTRATION\nCybersecurity is not just a concern for large corporations. Nonprofits are increasingly being targeted by cybercriminals\, and the consequences can be devastating. This interactive half-day workshop is designed specifically for nonprofit leaders and staff to strengthen their organization’s defenses without relying on expensive tools or equipment. \nWe will provide an overview of today’s most common cybersecurity threats and offer three hands-on sessions where participants will: \n\nDevelop stronger policies that promote security awareness and accountability.\nConduct a risk assessment by identifying critical data\, potential threats\, and vulnerabilities.\nBuild contingency plans\, including incident response\, disaster recovery\, and business continuity strategies.\n\nParticipants will leave with practical insights\, starter templates\, and actionable steps tailored to their own organizations. No technical background is required. \nParticipants are encouraged to bring any current policies\, technology guidelines\, or resources your organization already has—we’ll use them as a starting point to build stronger protections.
