We’re Hiring: Program & Engagement Coordinator

The West Virginia Nonprofit Association (WVNPA) team provides the utmost quality and excellence in serving the nonprofit sectorof the state. The remote (must reside in WV) Program & Engagement Coordinator reports to and works directly with the Executive Director to support the coordination of in-person and online program development, program implementation, membership engagement and retention through online and printed communications,and assessment of membership needs. A summary of the duties includes, but is not limited to the following:

PRIMARY PROGRAMS & SERVICES RESPONSIBILITIES:
▪Collaborate with the Executive Director for the effective management of planning and delivery of quality member programs, services, and engagement based on membership needs.
▪Assist Executive Director with revenue generation for programming, including sponsorship solicitations, stewardship, and program registrations. ▪Manage all WVNPA program listings, registrations, and recordings in EventBrite and Zoom, transfer all attendance records into WVNPA’s contact management system, and post appropriate recordings on WVNPA website.
▪Maintain extensive records of all programs and services, updated membership list, mailing lists, and other relevant records.
▪Assistance with WVNPA operations and special projects as assigned.

PRIMARY MEMBERSHIP ENGAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Coordinate the program marketing and outreach with the WVNPA team by overseeing the creation of marketing materials, resources, social media, and electronic/hard copy communications. This includes an extensive email marketing component and requires the creation of mass email campaigns optimized for readability.
•Respond to member inquiries and requests, completing necessary research to provide needed information and resources.
•Conduct member outreach activities to spotlight members and assess their needs and interests to maximize membership benefits.
•Actively support membership recruitment, retention, and member benefits activities including membership application materials and cultivating new benefits and sponsorships.
•Work with the Executive Director to design and administer member satisfaction surveys to assess and prioritize program and member benefit strategies.
•Complete research to assist Executive Director in identifying new services, products,and benefits.

OTHER SUPPORT RESPONSIBILITIES:
▪Lead the team in maintaining and updating all pages of the WVNPA website, assessing the functionality of the website, and making recommendations for changes that ensure a user-friendly site.
▪Respond to member IT issues and work with consultants to troubleshoot problems and to expand the functionality of the website to ensure a consistent user-friendly site with expanded member benefits.
•Provide website analytics to the Executive Director to assess member usage and impact.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
▪Great attention to detail to ensure all programs are handled in a thorough and precise fashion.
▪Strong project management skills with an ability to manage multiple work-streams with established timelines, to proactively anticipate project needs and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
▪A customer service mindset and strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact with a small team and our members on complex assignments.▪A high level of intellectual curiosity with an enthusiasm for working on a small team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
▪Excellent written and verbal communication skills to develop program materials to the public, convey ideas in a clear, compelling,and concise manner.
▪Experience with technology management, email communications, content development, social networking,and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs is required for success in this position.
▪Must be an independent worker, one who is self-directed, can set goals and timelines, and seek counsel when needed.
▪Ability to travel as needed.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
▪Background and experience with a nonprofit organization.▪Background or experience in Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) system, specifically CiviCRM, is preferred.
▪Proficiency with WordPress, Mail Chimp, Event Brite, Survey Monkey, and Canva or another design program is preferred.
▪A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Position includes salary range of $35,000-$38,000 depending on qualifications. Benefits include health stipend, dental, vision, and paid time off. This is a remote working position (must reside in WV).
