Committed volunteers are amazing assets to any organization that is lucky enough to have them. They should be seen as valuable in-kind donors worthy of our thoughts and our time. To ensure that volunteers are used effectively, it is important to develop a structure for their use. In this workshop, we will review the five stages of successful volunteer management, including:
- Recruitment
- Orientation
- Involvement
- Recognition
- Retention
