The WV Center on Budget and Policy’s internship program seeks highly motivated students committed to building a shared prosperity in West Virginia through policy change. Internships are typically project-based with a focus on our current policy priorities and are paid positions in our Charleston office. The West Virginia Center on Budget and Policy seeks a Policy Outreach Coordinator to advance policies that improve the lives of all West Virginians, especially vulnerable children and people of color. The Policy Outreach Coordinator will develop campaign strategy and expand organizational partnerships. Women’s Aid in Crisis West Virginia–Executive Director

Women’s Aid in Crisis, Inc. seeks an experienced leader to spearhead WAIC’s domestic violence and sexual assault prevention and intervention programs in six counties. Position is based in Elkins. The Executive Director oversees all aspects of the organization’s operations and promotes WAIC’s mission statewide. Inspire West Virginia—Part Time Organizer, Morgantown and Charleston

Inspire WV is a nonprofit and nonpartisan organization. We are hiring an organizer in each town to work approx 20 hours per week.  The Organizer will recruit and train volunteers, communicate with school leaders, and support high school students to organize opportunities to engage their peers in the voting process. The Organizer will assist with the coordination and implementation of high school voter registration and be responsible for processing, submission and accurate data entry of voter registration forms. Glenville State College—Manager of Grants

Glenville State College seeks an administrator to oversee and manage incoming grant awards, contracting, reporting, writing and submitting grant proposals, and other administrative functions for the college. The Manager of Grants will work collaboratively with faculty and staff to pursue external funding for college related projects.  Responsible for writing and managing all grants. This includes keeping an executive summary and timeline for each agreement, maintaining a database of proposal and reporting due dates and communicating deadlines to applicable staff, ensuring on-time and complete follow through on all grant applications and reports.Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of related experience in grant writing required. Clay Center – Grants & Projects Developer

Clay Center for the Arts & Sciences of West Virginia is seeking a Grants & Projects developer who will lead the identification, research, and writing of grants that support the Center’s various operating, programmatic and capital needs and projects.  Work on the conceptual development and matching of potential grantors to specific needs for the purpose of developing coherent, compelling and successful grant applications. Assist in the administration of the “Clay Center Impact Grant” program. Develop an annual strategic grant writing plan for government (local, State and Federal), corporate foundation, private foundation, and community (public) foundation funding.  Create a standard grant application, align programs and projects to meet relevant funding needs and grant guidelines, and work on special projects as needed. Develop a process for reporting grant activities to the Board of Directors and the community. Maintain an annual grants seeking calendar. Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years grant writing experience with proven ability to secure funding. Carnegie Hall – Development Associate
is seeking applicants for the position of Development Associate. The Development Associate will work with the Executive Director and Development Director to support the development efforts of Carnegie Hall and Carnegie Hall Foundation. The Development Associate will assist in communicating with sponsors/donors; coordinate special events; document development activities; provide administrative support for grant creation, administration, and documentation; support various committees of the two entities; answer phones; sell performance tickets; and provide other support as necessary the Executive Director and Development Director. This is a part-time, grant-funded position. There is some flexibility in the hours/work days. The position is initially for one year, and continuation of the job will depend on the availability of funds. The successful candidate will be highly organized, skilled in using spreadsheets and databases, have excellent communication and customer relation skills, and be highly motivated and self-directed. Experience with fundraising, donor development, special events, and Sales Force/PatronManager a plus. An associate’s or bachelor’s degree is preferred, but a high school graduate with demonstrated work experience in related areas may be considered.
