Main Street Executive Director—Elkins, West Virginia

The Elkins Main Street Board of Directors is accepting resumes for the position of Executive Director.  The director will be responsible for coordinating activities to nurture a vibrant, livable down town utilizing the Main Street Four-Point Approach. Applicants should have education and/or experience in one or more of the following areas: Historic Preservation, Planning, Economic Development, Retailing, Marketing, Design, Event Management, Volunteer Management, Non-Profit Management, or Small Business Development. The Director must be entrepreneurial, energetic, well organized and be able to work will with others as well as in an independent environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, as well as knowledge of a variety of computer software programs. The salary range is $25,000 to $30,000, dependent on qualifications/experience. WVNPA – Administrative Assistant                     
The West Virginia Nonprofit Association is seeking an Administrative Assistant & Membership Support staff to work with and in support of the state’s nonprofit sector.  The position reports to the Executive Director to ensure the timely management of the organization’s operations and membership processing. The position is part-time starting at 15 hours per week but can evolve into additional hours up to full time employee with benefits.  The Administrative Assistant will be required to work out of a fully equipped WVNPA office on the 2nd floor of City National Bank downtown Lewisburg for a minimum of 2-3 hours 3 days a week to process mail and coordinate deposits and payables.  All other work can be done from a home office if preferred. Volunteer West Virginia—AmeriCorps Program Officer
The Program Officer is a member of the program team and is jointly responsible for coordinating the selection, support, and evaluation of Volunteer West Virginia (VWV)-funded national service programs (AmeriCorps State and AmeriCorps VISTA); reporting on progress to primary stakeholders; and managing budgets and expenditures of grantees. The program officer may take the lead on a specific area of community or grantee development including the grants process, member and program training, or outreach and new program development. Additionally, the Program Officer is responsible for promoting an ethic of service across the state through outreach efforts and by acting as a liaison between VWV and other organizations that are a part of the service, nonprofit and volunteer network. Inspire West Virginia—Part Time Organizer, Morgantown and Charleston
Inspire WV is a nonprofit and nonpartisan organization. We are hiring an organizer in each town to work approx 20 hours per week.  The Organizer will recruit and train volunteers, communicate with school leaders, and support high school students to organize opportunities to engage their peers in the voting process. Glenville State College—Manager of Grants
Glenville State College seeks an administrator to oversee and manage incoming grant awards, contracting, reporting, writing and submitting grant proposals, and other administrative functions for the college. The Manager of Grants will work collaboratively with faculty and staff to pursue external funding for college related projects.  Responsible for writing and managing all grants. This includes keeping an executive summary and timeline for each agreement, maintaining a database of proposal and reporting due dates and communicating deadlines to applicable staff, ensuring on-time and complete follow through on all grant applications and reports.Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of related experience in grant writing required. Clay Center – Grants & Projects Developer
Clay Center for the Arts & Sciences of West Virginia is seeking a Grants & Projects developer who will lead the identification, research, and writing of grants that support the Center’s various operating, programmatic and capital needs and projects.  Work on the conceptual development and matching of potential grantors to specific needs for the purpose of developing coherent, compelling and successful grant applications. Assist in the administration of the “Clay Center Impact Grant” program. Develop an annual strategic grant writing plan for government (local, State and Federal), corporate foundation, private foundation, and community (public) foundation funding.  Create a standard grant application, align programs and projects to meet relevant funding needs and grant guidelines, and work on special projects as needed. Develop a process for reporting grant activities to the Board of Directors and the community. Maintain an annual grants seeking calendar. Carnegie Hall – Development Associate
is seeking applicants for the position of Development Associate. The Development Associate will work with the Executive Director and Development Director to support the development efforts of Carnegie Hall and Carnegie Hall Foundation. The Development Associate will assist in communicating with sponsors/donors; coordinate special events; document development activities; provide administrative support for grant creation, administration, and documentation; support various committees of the two entities; answer phones; sell performance tickets; and provide other support as necessary the Executive Director and Development Director. This is a part-time, grant-funded position. There is some flexibility in the hours/work days. The position is initially for one year, and continuation of the job will depend on the availability of funds. The successful candidate will be highly organized, skilled in using spreadsheets and databases, have excellent communication and customer relation skills, and be highly motivated and self-directed. Experience with fundraising, donor development, special events, and Sales Force/PatronManager a plus. An associate’s or bachelor’s degree is preferred, but a high school graduate with demonstrated work experience in related areas may be considered.
