Ready to take the next steps in your grant writing journey? On Wednesday, November 12, 2025, the Huntington Regional Chamber of Commerce and its Nonprofit Roundtable will host the West Virginia Grant Resource Centers for a free Grants 101 Workshop! This comprehensive workshop, developed and led by the Grant Centers’ staff, will guide participants through each critical step of the pre-award process, including:
Seeking and Finding Grants
Writing a Strong Grant Proposal
Building and Maximizing Community Partnerships
Developing a Budget and Budget Narrative
Identifying Matching Funds
Thinking Like a Reviewer
Getting Grant Ready

The Grants 101 Workshop is a comprehensive training program from the West Virginia Grant Resource Centers that guides participants through each critical step of the pre-award process. Developed and presented by the Grant Centers, these workshops aim to help West Virginia communities, organizations, and other eligible entities grow their grant writing and application assembly skills.
This Training is Recommended For:
West Virginia communities, nonprofits, businesses, and other eligible entities who are interested in engaging with the grant writing process. No prior grant writing experience is required.
What to Expect:
Participants can expect to gain a thorough understanding of the grant writing process and elevate their grant writing and application assembly skills.
