NIP Taskforce working toward 2016 renewal

By on June 27, 2015 in Advocacy & Policy

The West Virginia Nonprofit Association and Philanthropy WV have formed a Task Force to work on the renewal of the Neighborhood Investment Program tax credits in 2016. To that end, we are collecting information from NIP recipient organizations to help build the case in assessing the market potential for NIP credits. Below is a link to a brief survey that we ask you complete. The questions are listed below for you to review in advance. Answer the questions honestly, because over estimating will not be helpful to this project.

In the 2014-15 Cycle:

  1. How many NIP tax credits did you request?
  2. How many did you receive?
  3. How many did you use?
  4. In all honesty, and if there was no limit, how many NIP credits could your organization have actually used?
  5. If your organization did not receive NIP credits, how many do you think you honestly could use if there was no limit?
  6. If your organization has not been successful in using your NIP credits, please indicate why.
